INTRODUCTION

This following statements have been written assuming that this framework is to be put into an existing programme management framework.
Always bear in mind that it's inherent functions will be dependant upon, and interact with, other functions such as planning and scheduling, change control, risk management etc. Standardisation of terminology between them must be established/maintained.

PREREQUISITES

Director and Senior Management Team support for the creation of a Cost Management Framework.
An established Programme Office Team or Cost Control Manager/Finance Support Analyst.

ACTIONS

Initiate and manage the Set Up processes.
Ensure the Programme Office role is well understood and accepted by all levels of Programme and Project staff.
Ensure training regimes are established for all aspects.
Ensure Programme and Project Management processes are established and maintained.
Ensure Programme and Project Reporting processes are established and maintained.
