1963 First played (aged 11) Rhydhir Secondary school Neath.
(Now Dwr-y-Felin)

1966 1stXv (aged 14)

Rhydhir 1st XV

1967 Trial for Neath schoolboys

1969 Joined Royal Navy

1969 - 70 HMS Fisgard (shorebase) Plymouth 1st XV

1970 – 71 HMS Caledonia (shorebase) Rosyth 1st� XV

�Represented the �Scotland & Northern Ireland Command� in Command Championships at under 19.

 

1st XV rugby on all later ships.

Lisbon in 1981 when serving in HMS Battleaxe played against HM Submarine breaking three verterbrae. Retired from playing rugby by wife.

1982 Dicharged (fit) from RN after completion of 12 year career service and commenced contract working at various locations ‘worldwide’.

No rugby played for 13 years.

1994, June, Started work in Oslo Norway.

1994/5Discovered Oslo had a rugby club and joined for social and fitness reasons. Regularly trained with their team and travelled to support. On one occasion made up the numbers when a player was unable to travel.

Subsequently became a regular player with the Oslo team and travelled around Norway competing within the Norwegian Rugby Federation Cup competitions.

1996 Norway competed in the Baltic Cup in Copenhagen  involving Denmark Sweden Russia and others.

��������������� On discovering my intention to travel to support Norway was told �bring your boots.

��������������� Was given the privilege and honour to play for Norway against Denmark in that competition.

1997, January, job relocated to Stavanger, Norway. Joined Stavanger RFC and became a regular player taking part in all competitions within Norway.

Chris Owen, Phil Payne, Geraint Williams.

1998, December, job in Norway completed. Returned to Glasgow.

1998, December, joined Cambuslang RFC and subsequently became a regular 3rd XV player.

2001, June took a party of 34 from Cambuslang on tour to Stavanger to take part in the Norwegian 7’s competition.

2003, May took a party of 54 from Cambuslang on tour to New York.
