Introduction

Common but very powerful tools are available to all organisations within software applications already installed.

The most important of these is Microsoft's Windows Explorer.

Through this we can implement an 'active directory' control of the folders and files within the Programme(s) Directory.

This in turn provides a more secure environment for folders and files and allows us to ensure confidentiality where required is maintained.

Responsibilities

This Active Directory control should be administered by two or three members only of the Programme Office Team. They would be collectively known as the PO Super User Group (SUG).

Process

Through the proper implementation of user groups where one user group equates to a Programme, a Project or 'a.n.other' team, it can be ensured that the correct personnel have Read/Write access to appropriate folders and files.
